About Maple Gymnastics (est:1989)


From toddling to teenage years and all abilities from participation to competition.



British Gymnastics affiliated club associated with BG Leisure Centre Scheme.


Maple Gymnastics gained GymMark and ClubMark accreditation in 2006.


  • Maple Gymnastics a popular and friendly club opened in 1989.
  • Founded by Lindsay Broomfield former international gymnast (artistic), British Gymnastics level 4 coach, British Gymnastics tutor and author (Complete Guide to Primary Gymnastics).


  • Club venue - Landford Village Hall (SP5 2AE)
  • Gymnastics and trampoline classes take place on a Tuesday and Thursday
  • Classes are held school-term time only


  • Gymnastics and Trampoline coaches:
    • British Gymnastics qualified (Head and lead coaches)
    • Hold current DBS
    • First Aid trained


  • Gymnastics:
    • Coach-gymnast ratio 1:5/6 in all classes (all coaches are qualified and volunteers are not included in our adult:child ratio)
  • Trampoline: (2 trampolines)
    • Maximum of 3-4 bouncers per trampoline operating a no waiting policy
      • ​3 bouncers - 1 bouncing, 1 next on, 1 on trampet or activity station
      • 4 bouncers - 1 bouncing, 1 next on, 1 on trampet, 1 at activity station
    • ​Activity station - Physical Literacy activities developing basic physical skills and body preparation


  • Diverse focus every term offering variety and progressive opportunities for all:
    • Competition (Club and Inter-club)
    • Reward and award schemes 
    • Public performances, summer fetes and displays
